The Human Instrumentality Project

I haven't seriously blogged for more than a month now.. But I don't want to descend to the mundane, I don't want to blog about dull stuff like where I went, what I did, especially since it probably ain't too special to anyone but me. But there really isn't much else to say, so here goes..

Hall stuff first:

Hockey - having loads of fun there. We have a good captain and a good squad, training attendance is the envy of most other sports, and morale is good. My prior experience helps a lot, and I'm on track for a first-team position. Thinking of it makes my hands itchy for more action, but training's suspended for the exams right now.

Touch rugby - the mud and grime is a turn-off at first, some more I'm new to the game. Right now we have combined "fun touch" with an outside team, means we just play for fun since it's their off-season. After some coaching, I'm better and more composed and enjoying the game more as a result. Training's still on-going but I don't mind since it's a good break from studying.

Sheares Productions - We have a great cast this year, effervescent characters all of them, and attending rehearsals is enjoyable. The real work for me doesn't start until December, so everything's ok right now. Main comm meetings are interesting also, for the ever-present tub of ice cream, and also because we have some great people making sure everything runs smooth. It's also an eye-opener to see the inside workings of an event!

Voluntary Corps - Another great bunch of people, but I've put this committee rather low on my priority list so I dun really immerse myself in the activities and chitchat going on. My loss, but one can't have everything.

IT Team - nothing since the first meeting. I've been made Treasurer but I barely know what that's about. All quiet on this front..

Personal stuff next:

Nothing much here, really. Been on MSN a lot with my grand-daughter and with ying, and sporadically with whoever happens to be online. Usually I'm either busy working or busy playing. Occasional suppers with LY, YJ, XL and JC, even more occasional suppers with the hall guys.
Gaming commitments include Quake 3, and now Civilization 4!! And when I'm home I'll be pwning the local DOD:S server with my bro, or playing Battlefield 2.
A lot of people on my "must meet up" list for June have been carried over to the list for December. I hope to clear it this time!

Work:

Busy's the word! Especially coping with it in addition to everything else. Results so far are ok, with the notable exception of screwing up my CS 1102 practical exam. So 4 As and 1 B, lah. Provided I study hard and do well for my final exams, of course. Schedule's like this:
GEK 1509 Test - 9 Nov
SSA 2215 Exam - 23 Nov
CS 1102 Exam - 24 Nov
CS 1104 Exam - 26 Nov
CS 1231X Exam - 1 Dec
Then, Driving Test - 3 Dec
Then, SP rehearsals start 5 Dec, VC activities start 5 Dec till 12 Dec, then sporadically for the rest of the December holidays. So I don't expect to get much rest or time to myself for the December holidays!

Hmm I had more to blog about.. Haha finally burst the dam after 1 month! I'll leave it for next time then..
