Friday, August 15, 2008 To someone who doesn't stop by here any more: 一路好走. Can't help but feel a little sad, that our paths have now diverged for good, and you have disappeared beyond the horizon. Although I know that this is for the best for both of us. So, let the 4 words above mark the end of the Mimosa chapter. It's been a pretty good holiday, working on my FYP has been a brilliant way to keep myself from thinking too much, thus the dearth of posts here. And I'm happy with the number of friends and relatives I've met, the number of outings and gatherings I've went for. And.. well I'm happy with the amount of personal growth and maturation I've had, which I feel is pretty overdue. There's still a long way to go, though. So all this happy stuff is just to keep this post balanced. =P I wonder if it's natural and inevitable for many friends to fall by the wayside as time goes by. So many people whom I've worked with, studied with, played with, with whom there used to be camaraderie and friendly banter. Now there is only awkward conversation after the 'hi', sometimes awkward silence, sometimes not even a 'hi'. It would be nice if friendships can simply continue where they left off, and not deflate with time like a balloon. Then we won't have to pick and choose, consciously or subconsciously. |
